2010-2011 Harford County Public Schools/HCVFEMSA Cadet Program Update
We have 13 Cadets signed up to start the 2010-2011 school year representing the following Harford County Volunteer Fire Companies:
Company 1, Level Volunteer Fire Company
Company 2, Aberdeen Fire Department
Company 3, Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company
Company 4, Abingdon Fire Company
Company 7, Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company
Company 9, Darlington Volunteer Fire Company
The Cadets are seniors at the following Harford County High Schools:
Aberdeen High School
Bel Air High School
C. Milton Wright High School
Harford Technical High School
Havre de Grace High School
North Harford High School
Cadets will be attending Firefighting, Hazardous Materials, and Emergency Medical Servcies classes along with participating in “In-Station” days with special training at various locations. These special training sessions will cover such items as drafting theory and practical, Maryland State Police visit, Harford County Sheriffs Office K-9 visit, Haz-Mat building tour, Harford County 911 and Fire Dispatch Center tour, State Fire Marshals visit, and other specialized training.
